White Dacha

Chekhov's white dacha, or summer home in Ukraine proved to be the perfect spot for creativity. Rachmaninoff played the piano there and it is where Tolstoy and Chekhov spent hours talking about their craft. Chekhov wrote the Cherry Orchard there and planted his own as well as all the plants in the garden.
Fountain pen ink, leather, stonefruit, lilacs, roses, mimosa flowers, samovar (lapsang souchang),Vareye (Russian cherry preserves), Sbiten, birch burning on pechka (Russian stove) all aged in oak.
