A Saffron Bomb! Very limited Bottling due to vintage saffron.

A celebration of the Saffron on Kashmir, made with 20 year old Saffron absolute layered with saffron farmed by Raqib Mushtaq for Diaspora Spice Co and topped with saffron from the "Saffron Don". Made in a base of red fruits (made not as a single accord but to lift up the saffron and help show off its beauty red currant, strawberry, cherry),  Ylang and jasmine grandiflorum, Tahitian vanilla, Australian sandalwood and Aotearoa ambergris.

It takes about 150,000 flowers to get a kilo of dried saffron and has been so valued throughout history that it was called red gold or autumn gold. In Europe in the Middle Ages the punishment for passing off artificial saffron was beheading or being burnt alive! Ironically saffron is all but illegal in European perfume, which is really unfortunate due to the incredible benefits real saffron has to offer. Humans have been wearing saffron as perfume for thousands of years, and I believe it is an important part of our human story. May these beautiful saffrons uplift your mind, body and spirit! 

**Many studies have found the benefits of saffron to be a good aphrodisiac, mood enhancing, anti depression, anti anxiety, anti cancer and beneficial for nervous system disorders like Alzheimers. Due to how regulations hinge on perfume versus herbal medicine, I can not lay claim to such things. However, the studies on real saffron are extensive and available online. Most of what we put on our skin is absorbed into our bloodstream and processed by the body which is why this perfume has been made with whole, real ingredients that humans have been putting on their skin for thousands of years. 

Note on Gold bottling- because of a mail error there are two options for Autumn Gold Bottle. The intended bottle is the one with black label in photo, but the tall Gold Bottle is also available. Please leave in notes which you prefer.
